Heading to the beach this summer??? Here are our top 10 things to pack for a fun day of sun and surf! These are the exact things that we bring on a daily basis to the beach at home or abroad.

2. Beach Chairs – Make for a more comfortable day and easier way to keep an eye on the little ones. Bonus if they are backpack chairs for easier hauling to and from your car. Some will recline pretty far back as well.
3. Beach Towels – We like the quick dry and compact microfiber beach towels. Check out these ones from Wildhorn Outfitters.They are much easier to transport and they also dry a lot quicker than normal towels.
4. Healthy Snacks – Fruit, applesauce packages, sandwiches just in case. Make sure to bring something that is packaged to keep it clean from the sand.
5. Water – Pack more than you think you’ll need! Hot summer days will require more water than you’re accustomed to.
6. Beach Toys – Our kids’ favorite are these surfer dude/girls and a couple shovels and buckets that they can use to build/collect/create with. You don’t need to pack a ton of toys, just a couple that will entertain them all day since they also have sand, rocks, shells and water to play with too!
7. Surfboard/Boogie Board/Hand Plane – Whichever you want for some water time! We like giving our kids a few different options to see what they gravitate towards.
8. Sun Tent or Umbrella – Using a sun tent without poles makes for a much quicker set up! We love this one from Wildhorn Outfitters to easily fit the whole family.
9. Change of clothes for the kids for the ride home – When the kids fall asleep on the ride home, you’ll be glad they aren’t in their sandy wet clothes!
10. Rinse Kit – A portable shower for your trunk! This is especially useful for those beaches that don’t have showers.
